Build or explain a 5-field crontab or 6-field AWS EventBridge cron, with presets and the next run times.
Pick each field with every, step, list or range mode and the expression is assembled for you — or paste an existing expression and it is parsed back into the pickers.
AWS EventBridge uses six fields (minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week year). One of day-of-month or day-of-week must be ?. Daily at 06:00 is 0 6 ? * * ?.
The next five run times are computed in your local timezone, which is the quickest way to confirm that an expression means what you think before it goes into a scheduler.
What are the five cron fields? Minute, hour, day of month, month, and day of week, in that order.
What is AWS cron? Six fields: minute, hour, day-of-month, month, day-of-week, year. Sunday is 1, Saturday is 7. You cannot set both day-of-month and day-of-week — put ? in the one you are not using. 6am daily is 0 6 ? * * ?.
What happens if I set both day of month and day of week? Standard cron treats them as an OR: the job runs when either matches. AWS forbids both; this builder writes ? for day-of-week if you pick a day of month.
